The Celebration
The Reef Island Resort, Mactan
Lapu-Lapu City, Mactan Island, Cebu, Philippines
3:00pm · Ocean Garden
We'll exchange our vows with the ocean as our backdrop. Simple, heartfelt, and surrounded by all of you.
We ask guests to arrive at the venue by 2:45pm on the day of our wedding.
5:00pm · Promenade
Get to know our family and friends with a drink in hand. Local 'merienda' will be provided so that you can stay by the water, toast with us, and ease into the evening as the sky turns gold.
6:00pm · Boardwalk
It's a party!
Important: the Bride and Groom request all guests to eat well, laugh often, celebrate loudly, and dance until it hurts.

Dress for warm sunshine in the tropics.
Think linen suits or dress shirts and light blazers for the gentlemen, flowy breezy dresses and tropical chic for the ladies. Comfort first, elegance always.

Mactan's resorts have private beaches, or boat to nearby islands for quieter spots.
Canyoneering adventure ending at stunning turquoise waterfalls. Full day trip.
Lechon, fresh seafood, and surprisingly good coffee. We'll share our favourites.
Historic sites, markets, and nightlife. ~An hour from Mactan resorts across the bridge.
World-class massages, treat yourself.
Questions
Cebu is tropical — warm and humid year-round. Expect 28–32°C. Dry season runs December–May, which is perfect timing for us. Pack light, breathable clothes and maybe a light rain jacket just in case.
Philippine Peso (PHP). Roughly 1 AUD = 35–38 PHP. ATMs are not as common outside of major resorts, shopping districts, the airport and CBD, and there are fixed limits on daily withdrawals which vary between banks/ATMs. Our suggestion is to keep some cash on hand for day-to-day purchases outside your accommodation, as digital payments are not always accepted everywhere.
Philippines uses Type A/B plugs (US-style, flat pins) at 220V. Australian plugs won't fit — bring a universal adapter. Most hotels have USB charging available.
Cebu is a popular tourist destination and generally very safe. Normal travel precautions apply — don't flash valuables, use registered transport. Filipinos are famously friendly and hospitable.
Yes. Always. You'll want coverage for trip cancellation, delays, and medical evacuation just in case.
Your presence is the present.
Absolutely, kids are welcome! It's a destination wedding, so bring the whole crew and make a family holiday out of it. Kids will have access to the venue's kids club during the reception.
The day's agenda is planned to be completely outdoors, however in the case of wet weather we have an indoor option available.
We recommend to only drink bottled water. Most resorts provide this in Mactan as well.
Yes, though there may be costs for visitor parking. Please check with the venue.
